One person was injured Monday morning in an explosion at a munitions factory near Jamestown, Pennsylvania.
The injured woman, an employee at the plant, was flown to an undisclosed medical trauma unit. Officials say an exploded shell caused head and facial injuries to the woman. No fire was reported.
Five fire companies were initially called to the scene, but Jamestown fire officials sent four companies home before they had arrived on the scene.
The name of the injured worker was not immediately released.
The plant manufactures munitions such as grenades and tear gas canisters. It was the site of a fire in February of last year.
