A woman was jailed over the weekend after she allegedly approached several Oil City residents, asking for money.
33 year-old Kathryn Sloan is accused of knocking on the doors of at least two homes early Saturday evening, asking for money and the use of the residents’ bathrooms. In one case, Sloan is accused of using a resident’s computer to check out her Facebook site. One Oil City woman who says Sloan asked for $100 admitted she gave five dollars, hoping Sloan would leave.
Oil City Police say they found Sloan hiding in the bushes in a South Side neighborhood. She was arrested and was charged with trespassing, theft by deception, disorderly conduct and the possession of drug paraphernalia.
Sloan was lodged in the Venango County jail on $25,000 bail.
