An Oil City-area woman is being charged with burglary. She is accused if stealing a $500 dollar dog from a residence in Cherrytree Township.
State Police tell KQW that Phylisha Rankin entered a Breedtown Road residence and stole a chihuahua.
The incident allegedly occurred on the morning of November 30. The dog was located and was returned unharmed.
Police did not release a possible motive for the crime, or indicate whether Rankin and the dog’s owner are acquainted.
