Winter Weather Advisory To Go Into Effect Thursday Afternoon

March 8, 2018

The National Weather Service has posted a Winter Weather Advisory for snow for northwestern and west-central Pennsylvania, to be effective from 3:00 PM Thursday (March 8) until 1:00 PM Friday.

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties with snow-covered roads and limited visibilities at times.

Some of the slippery road conditions may be noticeable during the morning commute on Friday.

Total snow accumulations of three-to-five inches are expected.  The Oil Region Forecast from the KQW Weather Center predicts a fraction of an inch of accumulation in the second half of Thursday afternoon, one-to-three-inches on Thursday night and another one-to-two inches on Friday.
