Wind Chill Advisory To Remain In Effect Until Noon Wednesday

January 2, 2018
By

The National Weather Service has continued its Wind Chill Advisory for the Oil Region and the surrounding area until 12:00 noon on Wednesday (Jan. 3).

A Wind Chill Advisory means cold air and wind will combine to create low wind chill factors.  Frost bite and hypothermia can occur if precautions are not taken.

Wind chills as low as 15 below can be expected even with the sunshine that is expected on Tuesday afternoon and early Wednesday.  In such conditions, exposed skin can become frostbitten in as little as thirty minutes.
