Two women from the Jackson Center area were injured when a tree fell on the truck in which they were traveling.

Police reports indicate that the driver, 64 year-old Alice Whitehouse, and a passenger, 24 year-old Jennifer Reynolds, were both rushed by helicopter to a hospital in Pittsburgh.  Both women had to be freed from the wreckage by first-responders.

State Police from the Mercer station say the women were traveling south on Centertown Road in Wolf Creek Township in Mercer County when the incident occurred shortly after noon Tuesday.  There was no immediate report on the extent of injuries.
