Two men were seriously injured early Saturday morning when their car overturned on the northbound lanes on Interstate 79 near Portersville in Butler County.

State Police troopers say 24 year-old Devon Burkert, from Harrisville, told them he swerved to avoid striking a tractor-trailer.  The car left the highway, struck an embankment and rolled over.  Burkert and his passenger, identified as Brian Lownds from Emlenton, were both ejected from the vehicle.

Both men were rushed to a Pittsburgh hospital.  Early injury reports were not available.
