Officials of several law enforcement agencies have arrested a second man suspected in Friday morning’s armed robbery at a convenience store near Meadville.
U.S. Marshals, state and local police, and officials from the Crawford County Sheriff’s office say they arrested a man they identified as 21 year-old Bradley Whitslar in a wooded area near Meadville early Monday evening. Whitslar was to face charges filed by the State Police.
On Saturday, officials had arrested 19 year-old Allen Austin, from Pittsburgh, in the same case.
The two suspects are accused of robbing a convenience store on Route 322 in Vernon Township at about 2:30 AM Friday. Two cashiers who were on duty said two men, one holding a silver handgun, demanded and were given money, and fled the scene on foot toward Meadville.
Whitslar and Austin were both committed to the Crawford County Jail.
