Tuesday Is Primary Election Day In Pennsylvania

May 14, 2018
By

Voters go to the polls Tuesday (May 15) for Pennsylvania’s primary elections.

It’s a gubernatorial election year in the Keystone State, and three Republican candidates – Scott Wagner, Paul Mango and Laura Ellsworth are squaring off to determine who will face Democratic incumbent Tom Wolf in November.

Voters are also casting their ballots in Congressional districts which look much different than they did two years ago.  The state Supreme Court ruled the old districting map unconstitutional, and essentially took over the process of drawing up a new map.  Some think this will allow Democrats to make significant gains on the Republicans’ current edge in Congress of 12-to-6.

The polls will be open until 8:00 PM.

Listen for Venango County vote tabulations and reports from statewide sources beginning after 9:00 PM Tuesday night on 96.3 KQW.
