The fire that destroyed a glass company on Seneca Hill between Oil City and Seneca on Tuesday night is being treated by investigators as an accident.
It is believed that the blaze was the result of the rekindling of the remnants of a fire that had been built earlier in the day to destroy pallets.
The fire at B&B Glass Center was reported shortly after 8:00 PM, and more than one hundred firefighters from around Venango County responded. After they had been on the scene for about eight hours, many returned to fight more flames just before daybreak Wednesday.
The main building at the business was destroyed, as were an apartment and several vehicles. No injuries were reported. Company officials are still assessing the amount of damage.
