Trout Season Begins Saturday

With the exception of some counties in southeastern Pennsylvania where the activity began two weeks ago, the state’s trout season begins Saturday morning (April 13) at 8:00 AM.

The season will run through Labor Day, and potential anglers must possess not only a fishing license but a Trout-Salmon Stamp to fish for trout.

The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission reminds fisherman that trout that are kept must be at least seven inches in length, and there is a creel limit for most inland waterways of five fish.
