A Townville man will face trial after he waived his preliminary hearing in a case in which he is accused of firing a gun during a dispute with a woman earlier this month.

40 year-old Philip Palmer is charged with simple assault, reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct.

The incident allegedly occurred before daybreak on March 9 on the front porch of a home.  Police say a shot was fired near, but not at the victim, and no one was injured.
