Tony Stewart won at Dover International Speedway for the first time since his pair of victories in 2000, also posting his first NASCAR Sprint Cup triumph of the season, taking the checkered flag at Sunday’s FedEx 400.

Juan Pablo Montoya finished second, and Jeff Gordon was third.  Stewart, Montoya and Gordon all registered their top finishes of the year.

Points standings leader Jimmie Johnson, a seven-time winner at Dover, appeared to have the race wrapped up, but he was assessed a pass-through penalty after he was accused of jumping a late restart.  Johnson placed 17th.  Polesitter Denny Hamlin finished 34th after his car hit the wall late in the race.

Next Sunday (June 9), NASCAR comes to Pennsylvania for the Party in the Poconos 400 in Long Pond.  Catch live coverage beginning at 12:00 Noon on ESPN Radio 1120.
