A Titusville woman who entered a guilty plea to a charge of assault for stabbing her husband during a picnic last summer has been sentenced to up to two years of house arrest.
53 year-old Sally Nichols entered the guilty plea in exchange for the dismissal of four other charges.
Nichols had been accused of hitting her husband, 45 year-old Allen Nichols, over the head with a shovel and a dinner plate during an argument at a July picnic. Police say she then stabbed her husband in the back with a steak knife that was lying on a nearby table.
Allen Nichols needed medical treatment at an Erie hospital.
