A Titusville woman was charged Wednesday in connection with the disappearance of more than $2,000 from a local Cub Scout pack.
33 year-old Stephanie Mullen was arraigned on 18 counts, including theft by unlawful taking, failure to make required disposition of funds, theft by deception, receiving stolen property and identity theft.
Law enforcement officials say Mullen is accused of cashing several checks from a Cub Scout account which had been made out to her. Mullen allegedly had a second scout leader co-sign one of the checks, but she is accused of forging the other individual’s name on at least two checks. Police say the three checks totaled $1,100, and that scout leaders say another $911 was missing from the same account.
After her arraignment, Mullen was freed on bond.
