A Titusville woman has been charged with six counts after she allegedly caused injuries to the head, eye and arm of a seven year-old girl.
Titusville City Police say 22 year-old Faith Adkins is charged with aggravated and simple assault, unlawful restraint of a minor, making terroristic threats, reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of a child. The terroristic threat charge stems from an accusation by another child that Adkins threatened to kill the girl.
Adkins is accused of grabbing the girl by her hair and holding her face down while squeezing the child until she lost her breath. An investigator says the wound to the girl’s right arm appears to be a bite mark.
The child was treated at Titusville Hospital. Adkins was charged and arraigned, and was lodged in the Crawford County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bond.
