A Titusville man will be sentenced on January 31 following his guilty plea in Venango County Court to a charge connected with the solicitation to commit harm to his now ex-wife.

35 year-old Ronald Henry entered a guilty plea last week to a single charge of criminal solicitation to commit simple assault.  Henry was accused of soliciting through Facebook to have a man harm his estranged wife.  The man who was contacted alerted authorities about the messages he had received.

Henry had already been found guilty of contempt of a Crawford County Court protection from abuse order for allegedly phoning the woman and threatening to kill her.  He had been sentenced to 6-to-12 months in prison on that charge.

In exchange for last week’s guilty plea, charges of solicitation to commit aggravated assault and aggravated assault were dismissed.  Another charge, stalking, had been withdrawn.
