Tionesta Woman’s Vehicle Hits Tree

A Tionesta woman was taken to a local hospital Sunday after a one-vehicle crash on Route 36.

State Police tell KQW that 26 year-old Michelle Balas lost control of her vehicle shortly after 11:30 AM on Sunday morning, and it slammed into a tree.

Balas was taken to UPMC Northwest where she told troopers she does not remember the accident.  Police described her injuries as “moderate.”
