Tionesta Man Hospitalized In Pittsburgh Following Route 208 Crash

A Wednesday afternoon crash has sent a 61 year-old Tionesta man to a Pittsburgh hospital.

The man, whom police did not identify, was traveling on Route 208 in Washington Township in northern Clarion County at about 3:30 PM Wednesday when the vehicle left the pavement, struck a mailbox, and rolled several times, coming to rest on its right side on the highway.

During the incident, the driver was ejected from the vehicle.  His injuries are described as serious.

A 27 year-old male passenger from Marble was not hurt.
