Even though he gave back four strokes over the final five holes on Monday, Tiger Woods earned a four-stroke victory at the fog-delayed Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines near San Diego.
It was his seventh title at the tournament, his eighth overall at Torrey Pines, and his 75th career PGA Tour victory, putting him just seven championships behind the all-time record held by Sam Snead.
The late fourth-round slide settled Woods’ score for the last day at even-par 72 and put his tournament tally at 14-under-par 274. Brandt Snedeker and Josh Teater both finished at 10-under, and Nick Watney and Jimmy Walker tied for fourth place at -9.
Woods won $1.098 million.
