A Tidioute man was arrested early Friday morning in the shooting death of a woman whose body was found in her home on Davey Hill Road in Deerfield Township in Warren County on Thursday.
Police say they began searching for 52 year-old Randy Poole immediately after the discovery of the body of 56 year-old Kathleen Sweeney.
Police say they spotted Poole’s truck around 1:00 AM Friday morning. The vehicle crashed, and police reportedly apprehended Poole as he tried to escape into a wooded area about two miles west of Tidioute.
Poole was charged with criminal homicide and burglary. He was lodged without bail in the Warren County Jail.
