A three year-old boy was taken to UPMC Northwest following a two-vehicle crash outside Cooperstown on Thursday morning.  State Police accident investigators described the child’s injuries as “moderate.”

The collision happened just before 7:15 AM at the intersection of Foster and Tologo Roads in Jackson Township.

Troopers say the crash occurred when an S-U-V driven by 38 year-old Julie Phillips pulled into the path of a pickup operated by 24 year-old Joshua McCall.  Both drivers are from the Cooperstown area.

The injured child was a passenger in the Phillips vehicle.  A seven year-old boy was not injured.

Phillips sustained minor injuries, and McCall was not hurt.
