Three Teens Charged In Threats At Franklin High School

February 28, 2018

Charges of making terroristic threats have been filed against three teenage boys following an incident at Franklin High School on Monday.

Although a school official termed the incident “an authentic threat,” Pennsylvania State Police officials investigated and later said, “no imminent danger to staff or students was found.”

The investigation stemmed from a report made by a student to high school officials about a “threat of violence.”  It resulted in charges being filed through the Venango County juvenile system against two sixteen year-old boys and a fifteen year-old.

A State Police spokesperson told 96.3 KQW “The safety and security of school students and staff in all districts is the primary concern and every potential threat will be thoroughly investigated.”
