Three people, including a three year-old boy, were killed, and two other children were seriously injured in the Wednesday night crash of a minivan near Slippery Rock.

State Police at the Butler station say the incident happened on Centerville Pike in Brady Township, between Route 8 and Slippery Rock.  A minivan driven by 31 year-old Kimberly McLaughlin, from McKees Rocks, apparently crossed the highway, clipped a tree stump and then slammed into a tree.

McLaughlin died in the crash, as did 42 year-old Terry Cramer, from Coraopolis, and three year-old Terry Cramer III.  An 11 year-old girl and a one year-old infant girl were both flown to western Pennsylvania hospitals.  The girls are reportedly McLaughlin’s daughters.

Troopers are continuing their investigation.
