A tentative four-year contract agreement for faculty members of Pennsylvania’s 14 state-owned universities was reached Monday evening between negotiators for APSCUF (the Association of Pennsylvania State College and University Faculties) and the State System of Higher Education.
APSCUF union representatives will vote on the deal at a meeting later this week. If it is approved the agreement will go before the full union membership.
The 14 schools include Clarion, Slippery Rock and Edinboro Universities.
The agreement would reportedly be retroactive to July 1, 2011, but pay would be frozen for the first year of the deal. Base salaries would reportedly increase by four percent over the final three years of the pact.
