Suspected Burglar Arrested While Petting Dog At The Crime Scene

A Franklin man faces charges after he was found petting a dog on someone else’s property.

The problem was — 54 year-old Kenneth Garren is accused of entering the Pacific Street residence, where the homeowner now says it was discovered that items are missing.

Franklin City Police say the incident occurred early Saturday evening on the 300-block of Pacific Street.

Garren is charged with burglary, theft by unlawful taking, trespassing and public drunkenness.  Early reports did not indicate what was missing from the Franklin residence.
