Something is missing in Sugarcreek today.
A 63 year-old landmark, a 75,000-gallon water tank near Sugarcreek Station, was demolished on Wednesday morning.
The holding tank had recently been replaced by a 116,000-gallon underground tank constructed in the Buttermilk Hill area.
The structure that was razed on Wednesday had been declared unsafe.
Residents of the nearby Sugar Valley Lodge were relocated for the bulk of the day while the project was underway.
