Heavy storms late Tuesday afternoon caused flooding in the Edinboro area, led to an unconfirmed report of a funnel cloud near Waterford, and prompted the National Weather Service to issue a tornado warning and a flood watch for Crawford County and a severe thunderstorm watch for the general northwestern Pennsylvania area.
Most of Venango County saw only brief 15 or 20-minute downpours.
Winds in the Erie area were recorded for a brief amount of time at 50 miles per hour. The rainfall total in the Guys Mills area registered nearly one inch.
As of Wednesday morning, forecasters were predicting no more rainfall until at least Saturday afternoon. The temperature, though, may drop into the mid-40’s Wednesday night.
