Although this part of the Oil Region received a fraction of an inch of snow Tuesday night, we were spared many of the problems of the latest winter surge which moved through Pennsylvania.

Several inches of snow were recorded in the Harrisburg area, and sleet and freezing rain were experienced in many places.

Numerous school districts around the state called for delays in the start of classes Wednesday morning.  Those districts included many in Clarion County, including A-C Valley, Keystone, Clarion, Clarion-Limestone and North Clarion schools, plus Forest Area schools in Forest County.
