The Pittsburgh Steelers fielded a basketball team that invaded Rocky Grove High School on Tuesday night and won a 70-58 affair over a squad composed of teachers, coaches and administrators from the school.

The event, co-sponsored by 96.3 KQW and ESPN Radio 1120, was scheduled as a benefit for a 2014 trip to Florida for both the Orioles and Lady Orioles basketball teams.

In Tuesday’s exhibition, Steelers defensive end Cam Heyward, a midday guest on ESPN Radio 1120’s “Joe Lodanosky Show,” bucketed 32 points.  His 15 field goals included a pair of three-pointers.  Quarterback Charlie Batch added 23 points with 7 of his 8 field goals coming from three-point range.

Only two other Steelers scored.  DeMarcus Van Dyke tallied eight points, and Rob Golden added seven.  Also on the Steelers roster were Isaiah Green, Marshall McFadden and Ross Ventrone.

Leading the RGHS staff team was Dylan Gravatt, who just happens to be the Orioles’ and Venango County’s career scoring record-holder, with 17 points.
