Reports indicate that Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Terence Garvin has been fined $25,000 for a hit on Cincinnati Bengals punter Kevin Huber that ended Huber’s season with a broken jaw and a cracked vertebrae in his neck.
The play occurred during Antonio Brown’s 67-yard punt return touchdown in Pittsburgh’s 30-20 win over Cincinnati last Sunday, and did not draw a penalty flag. Had a penalty been called, Brown’s touchdown would have been negated.
Huber has been placed on the injured reserve list, and the first-place Bengals replaced him on their roster with former Buffalo Bills punter Shawn Powell.
