The National Football League has awarded the Pittsburgh Steelers three compensatory draft picks, based on the net loss of players to free agency in 2013.

The extra picks will be available in the third, fifth and sixth rounds of the NFL draft in early May.

In another move involving the Steelers on Monday, Pittsburgh signed free agent linebacker Arthur Moats, who spent the past four seasons with the Buffalo Bills.  The 26 year-old Moats started 12 games for Buffalo last season, and made a career-high 48 tackles.
