A new law authorizes the Pennsylvania Game Commission to expand its Mentored Hunting Program.
Governor Tom Corbett’s signature means the program will now be open to all ages.
Since its inception in 2006, the program has been limited to youth under the age of 12. Supporters of the expansion say they are building on its success which, they say, has become a model for the nation.
The goal is to try to expand hunting opportunities, along with instructions for safe hunting. Legislative votes were unanimous.
