The tentative contract agreement to cover faculty members at Pennsylvania’s state-owned universities was approved, nearly unanimously on Friday by the union’s leadership.
Members of APSCUF, the Association of Pennsylvania State College and University Faculties will vote on the deal early next month.
The faculty members have been working without a new contract since the middle of 2011. The new four-year pact would be retroactive to then, but would not include a pay raise in its first year.
The contract would cover faculty at fourteen state-owned schools, including Clarion, Slippery Rock and Edinboro Universities.
