State Police officials in Venango County say they are investigating an incident in Sandycreek Township in which someone broke into a residential safe and stole a large sum of money, and removed other items from the home, as well.
The incident occurred at a residence on Pone Lane sometime between Friday and Sunday March 14 – March 16).
Investigators did not indicate how much money was taken, but said the sum contained numerous denominations, including two-dollar bills and fifty-cent pieces.
Also stolen were an Ipad, a laptop computer and numerous pieces of jewelry.
The State Police at the Franklin station in Cranberry Township are investigating.
