Governor Tom Corbett’s budget secretary believes there are still enough time and votes to approve three major policy initiatives and a state budget by June 30.
State budget secretary Charles Zogby said this week the Corbett administration still wants to see legislative action on alcohol privatization, transportation funding and pension reform, along with a 2013-2014 spending plan, by the June 30 budget deadline.
Zogby does not accept the idea that a liquor plan is dead.
A watered-down pension reform bill passed a Senate committee this week, although Zogby told Radio PA News the administration never expected to get everything they wanted. Both the House and the Senate are still working on transportation issues.
