Scott Stallings two-putted the par-5 18th-hole Sunday to win the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines in San Diego by one stroke over five other golfers.
Stallings’ 4-under-par 68 on Sunday gave the winner a four-day total of 9-under-par 279 and a winner’s check for $1.098 million.
K.J. Choi, with a 66 on Sunday, tied for second place with Graham DeLaet, Jason Day, Pat Perez and Marc Leishman. Third-round leader Gary Woodland shot a 74 in the final round and finished three strokes back. The second-round leader, 20 year-old Jordan Spieth, went 75-75 over the weekend and closed at -4.
