Brandt Snedeker shot a 2-under-par 70 on Sunday to win the Canadian Open by three strokes at the Glen Abbey Golf Club across Lake Erie from the Oil Region in Oakville, Ontario.

Snedeker posted his second PGA Tour victory of the year and his sixth overall.  He finished the event at 16-under-par 272.

Jason Bohn, Dustin Johnson, Matt Kuchar and William McGirt tied for second place at -13.

Snedeker won $1.008 million.

The biggest story surrounding the tournament, though, was the withdrawal by Hunter Mahan, the second-round leader, just before the tourney’s third round began on Saturday.  Mahan left Ontario to return to Texas to be with his wife, Kandi Mahan, who had gone into labor, and who gave birth to a daughter, Zoe Olivia Mahan, early Sunday.
