Sheary’s Second Goal Gives Pens Overtime Win Over Buffalo

Conor Sheary scored for the second time in the game just sixteen seconds into overtime on Tuesday night, giving the Pittsburgh Penguins a 5-4 home win over the Buffalo Sabres.

Sidney Crosby, Patric Hornqvist and Phil Kessel had all joined Sheary in scoring during regulation time as the Penguins (10-7-3) came back from deficits of 2-0 and 3-1.  Matt Murray (10-4-1) stopped 28 of 32 shots to earn the win in goal.

Pittsburgh registered 45 shots-on goal, and Buffalo goalie Robin Lehner recorded 40 saves.

Jack Eichel, Sam Reinhart, Benoit Pouliot and Evander Kane scored for the Sabres (5-9-4).  Pittsburgh has won seven straight home games versus Buffalo, and is 12-0-1 in the last thirteen meetings between the two teams.

The Penguins will play at Ottawa (8-3-5) on Thursday night.  Radio pregame time on 96.3 KQW will be 7:00 PM
