Seneca Man Charged In Rainbow Gardens Shooting

A Seneca man was arrested in the Erie area following a shooting incident in a parking lot outside the Rainbow Gardens ballroom at Waldameer Park.

Millcreek Township Police say 25 year-old Joshua Shields is accused of firing a gun that seriously injured a woman who was standing nearby.  The woman is listed in serious but stable condition at an Erie hospital.  Police say the incident occurred shortly after midnight Sunday morning.

Shields was charged with both aggravated and simple assault, reckless endangerment, possessing an instrument of crime and public drunkenness.  He was lodged in the Erie County Jail on $50,000 bail.
