A Seneca man was bound for trial Tuesday during a preliminary hearing on charges that he fired shots at a public party in Erie.

An Emlenton woman was seriously injured in the incident.

25 year-old Joshua Shields is accused of firing shots at the Erie Biker Ball at Rainbow Gardens in Erie in late April during an argument in his car with a woman identified as Sarah Lewis.  Investigators say Lewis was shot in the lower back, and was rushed to UPMC-Hamot in Erie.

Charges included aggravated and simple assault, reckless endangerment, possession of an instrument of crime and public drunkenness.  Shields remains lodged in the Erie County Jail, unable to post $50,000 bail.
