A Pennsylvania appeals court Wednesday denied the appeal for a new trial by former Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky.
The state’s Superior Court ruled against Sandusky and his claims that his attorneys had not had proper time to prepare for trial, and that the trial judge had erred in his instructions to the jury. Sandusky’s appeal had also claimed that a prosecutor improperly made reference to that fact that Sandusky had not testified on his own behalf.
Sandusky is serving a 30-to-60-year prison term for sexually assaulting ten boys. His attorney says he will send their appeal to the state Supreme Court.
