Safe Snow Removal Urged

The Pennsylvania State Police have issued a reminder to residents to conduct their “snow removal in a safe manner.”

If possible, eliminate any high accumulations of snow at the end of driveways and private lanes.  It can obstruct the vision of both passing motorists and those pulling out from the drive onto a roadway.

Don’t plow or shovel snow onto the road at any time, a practice that creates a hazard for all vehicles.

The State Police also request that you refrain from calling their regional stations for weather or road conditions.  They remind us that information is available, among other places, at the state’s 511PA.com website and by calling 1 – 888 – 783 – 6783.
