State Police accident investigators have not yet released the identity of a driver who died when an S-U-V struck the rear of a snow plow and caught fire.

The incident occurred shortly after 7:00 PM Sunday on the southbound lanes on Interstate 79, about two miles south of the Route 62 exit.

The victim was the driver of the S-U-V.  Troopers say the operator of the PennDOT plow truck, Jason McGhee from Mercer, was not injured.

Initial reports indicate that the S-U-V struck the plow truck from behind, and spun out of control, catching fire as it spun.

The driver of the S-U-V was pronounced dead at the scene.
