Police officials say a Rouseville man died Wednesday afternoon when his S-U-V slammed into a tractor trailer, just west of the Franklin city limits.

The fatal incident occurred around 4:30 PM on Route 322 in Sugarcreek Borough.

Accident investigators say a westbound vehicle, driven by 56 year-old Walter Pusbach, crossed the center line of the highway and slammed into an oncoming tractor-trailer.  Pusbach did not survive.

There was no immediate word as to the condition of the driver of the trailer rig, identified as 46 year-old Brian Davis, from Guys Mills.  Route 322, near the former Amalie Oil refinery site, was closed for about four-and-a-half hours.  State Police troopers and the Sugarcreek Borough Police Department are continuing the accident investigation.
