PennDOT announced Thursday that the new closing date for Route 62 in the Riverside Drive area in Cranberry Township, bordering Oil City’s East End, will be Tuesday, August 13.
Originally, the road was to have been closed August 5 as part of the work being done on the realignment on the Route 62/Route 257 intersection. The latest project will involve the replacement of a 29-foot bridge over Sage Run, a job expected to be completed by the end of November.
A detour for cars and for trucks under ten tons in weight will include Route 257, East State Road, Horsecreek Road and Route 157. The detour for heavier trucks will utilize Routes 257, 322, 208 and 157.
