Route 427 Bridge Project Should Not Require Detour; Plans On Display March 17

According to a release from PennDOT, the planned rehabilitation work on a bridge on Route 427 near Cooperstown should not require a traffic detour.

Officials are hoping to begin the project on a bridge over Sugar Creek in Jackson Township in August.

PennDOT spokesman Jim Carroll, says the public may view a display of plans for the project from March 17 through March 28 at the Jackson Township Building on Creek Road in Cooperstown.  You may make arrangements to study the plans by calling the township secretary at 677 – 9178.
