A Rocky Grove man who was reported missing from a Pittsburgh-area corrections facility was charged with escape following his apprehension last week.

Law officials in Allegheny County say 30 year-old Michael Smith was nabbed by State Police from the Pittsburgh station.  Smith had been reported to be at large for ten days.  Police said he had failed to return to the Riverside Community Corrections Center after a visit to a veterans Affairs hospital.

Smith was being held on a burglary charge.  He was lodged last week in the Allegheny County Jail with bail on the escape charge set at $50,000.
