An Oil City teenager will stand trial in the murders of his grandparents in the Franklin area last October.

In Venango County Court on Monday, President Judge Oliver Lobaugh ruled there has been enough evidence presented to try 13 year-old Zachary Proper in the case.

Proper is the suspect in the shooting deaths of George and Dorothy Fross at the Fross home in Sandycreek Township.  Following his arrest in October, Proper was placed in the Venango County Jail in Franklin, but most of his time since has been spent in an Erie detention center awaiting court proceedings and undergoing numerous evaluations to establish his status for trial.

Current proceedings continue today (Tuesday), and will determine whether Proper will be tried as a juvenile or an adult.
