Neither police officials nor the Mercer County District Attorney’s office have identified any suspects they may have in the stabbing death of a Greenville businessman last Thursday.

The body of 76 year-old Frank Crash was found in his home in Hempfield Township by a daughter who learned he had not reported to work at his auto wrecking business.  A broken cell phone was found beside him, and his house phone had been yanked from the wall.  An initial investigation showed that it appeared someone had broken into the house through a back door.

An autopsy revealed Crash had been stabbed more than seventy times.

One of the individuals who has been questioned is said to be another of Crash’s daughters.  A warrant has been sought to search her apartment in Greenville.
